The stress of worrying about it is probably hindering more weight loss!!!

6-20= Day 35... Mess up
So I've been trying to think of how to put into words what this post is about...
Mother nature has dropped off her monthly "gift" and my cravings have been so overwhelming... Sunday I gave in!
I ate 2 small slivers of a Dairy Queen ice cream cake and a few Doritos!!
I know that may not seem like a lot to some people but for me.. It's huge!
I'm back on track and that's what matters! I do realize that I didn't eat those things out of emotion but out of a natural need!!
I felt guilty but now I realize I'm still making progress!
Prayers are still appreciated!

My Healthy Lasagna Recipe
First: the sauce recipe.... Not only is it great for healthy pasta dishes but its also great as a pizza sauce!
Ingredients:
1/2 large eggplant
1 zucchini
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
1 carrot
big can of tomato puree
big can of crushed tomatoes
2 cans of italian crushed tomatoes
sea salt and pepper to taste
italian seasoning
Directions:
Dice up all the veggies and spray your skillet with olive oil spray and set to med high heat.
Add the veggies to the hot skillet and add sea salt and pepper and italian seasoning and saute for about 5-6 mins.
Then add all the cans of tomatoes and let it simmer for about 3 hours. Stir occasionally.
Note: You may wanna keep tasting and add sea salt as needed.
Let it cool completely and then puree together with either a blender or like me, an emulsion blender (or my motor boat as I like to call it). :)
Makes about 10.5 cups of sauce. 93 calories per cup!!
Next: Lasagna- Holy Cow it's good!!
Ingredients:
About 4-5 cups of sauce (I used 5 and it was just right for us!)
1lb ground lean turkey breast
whole wheat lasagna noodles (I only used half the pkg)
1 pkg frozen spinach- thawed & drained
1 small tub of 2% cottage cheese
6 tsp of parm cheese
2 eggs
1 pkg part skim shredded mozzarella
itialian seasoning
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Get a big pot of boiling water going and cook your lasagna noodles.
In a skillet set on med high, spray olive oil cooking spray and add turkey and a couple of dashes of italian seasoning.
While that's browning, in a bowl, mix cottage cheese, eggs, and parm cheese and a dash or two of italian seasoning well. Set aside.
When turkey is almost done add in your thawed and drained (very important to squeeze out all the excess water) spinach.
Once the turkey is done and the spinach is heated thru, add your sauce. Mix well.
You're ready to layer:
First you wanna put some meat sauce in the bottom of the pan so the lasagna doesn't stick.
Layer of noodles
Layer of cheese mixture.
Layer of sauce.
Repeat.
Your last layer should just be noodles and sauce and then add the pkg of mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover and bake for 1 hour. Uncover the last 15 min to let your cheese get bubbly and golden!
NOTE: Because I only used 1/2 pkg of lasagna noodles that made a huge difference in calories!!
1/9 of the pan= 330 calories
1/12 of the pan= 248 calories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you decide to use the entire pkg of noodles then its 400 calories per 1/12 of the pan!

Day 26~ 16lbs
Holy smokes, people! I have lost 16 pounds!!! In 26 days!!! How amazing is that???!!! I cannot believe it! I'm so proud of myself! This is a lifestyle change and I am doing it! Even though I hate to workout and I am pushed to do it! I find myself craving veggies, and fruit, and good stuff!! When you feed your body the right stuff it loves it!
Anyways, just thought I'd share my progress!

Day 22- Ugh
Why do I hate to work out? I love the feeling that I get afterward and how good I feel inside so why do I hate to work out? My eating has been clean and on point! No cheating! I won't allow that! And I'm so disciplined with it! Why can't I be just as disciplined with working out? Ugh!
This just means digging deeper and undoing all the twisted up roots!!
I'm so proud of myself but I would be prouder if I could get my self working out everyday!!!
Just a few thoughts today!

Day 16~12 Down
WOO HOO!!! 12 pounds!! Yessir! And that's a true 12 pounds!! Still haven't worked out! I'm definitely gonna start that this coming week! I got Insanity (Jesus help me) and if that don't help the pounds come off then nothing will!
I'm feeling so much better! My mind is made up! There's lots of exciting things coming up! Thank u to everyone who has watched my videos and shared them! I just love Jesus and I live to worship Him!
Food will not "weigh" me down anymore! I am free!

Day 14- Hellur
Hellur!! Lol! I am so very proud of myself!! I have lost 10lbs! Just by eating right! I pack my water around everywhere I go, I have not cheated, and I'm super proud of me!
Has is been tough? Heck yeah! But I have stayed the course! This is a lifestyle change and a process! And I'm doing it!! Yay me!
Yesterday we went thru a drive thru to get my girls something to eat and the drive thru window opened up and the smell made me gag! The smell of the grease was overwhelming and it made me sick! That is so miraculous!! I used to feast at drive thru's!!
If I can do it...ANYONE CAN DO IT!!!
So this is me patting myself on the back and saying "Rock on, Carrie! Rock on!"
Now I have to get my workouts going!
